We are very pleased to add Shift-4 Broadcast to our list of official rental companies for the Floatcam DollyCrane SD and MoCo unit.
For over 20 years they have been supplying the best in camera, lighting, sound and grip equipment to the Film & TV industry from their premises in North London. With an enviable client and credit list, they may not be the biggest but they are one of the best!
If you saw the Floatcam DollyCrane and Motion Control at IBC this month, and fancy a closer look in your own premises you can arrange a personal demo with one of our UK team. We are travelling the length and breadth of the country introducing the DollyCrane to rental companies and potential clients to show them what they are missing! Or if you are in the London area, you could drop in and see us at Pinewood Studios.
To organise your demo, or for any more information just get in touch!
“Compact camera sliders are great, but are somewhat limited to a very short length and only work when completely horizontal. The integrated counter balance system in the Floatcam DollyCrane means you can track a generous 1.6m and still only need one tripod supporting it at it’s centre, maintaining the speed and relatively compact set up of the small sliders. The counterweight system also means in slider mode the DollyCrane can be used at almost any angle, including vertical!
As well as it’s innovative design, the attention to detail and unsurpassed quality of engineering is what really sets this apart from other camera tracking systems. Not only is it a great slider, it also transforms into a jib arm or camera tower with ease!
We are very pleased to be appointed as an official UK reseller for the Floatcam DollyCrane, and we look forward to welcoming you to PEC’s showroom in London’s West End”
Angelic Films recently used the Floatcam FC14 and Dollycrane for their musical short film ‘In The Mood’, from which this excerpt is taken.
The entire 15 minute film was shot in 2 days on location in South Bucks, and the Floatcam kit enabled the production team to move quickly between setups whilst retaining a high level of production value.
It was shot on Sony F3’s using Canon Prime lenses, and the FC14 also had a Preston LCS and cinetape mounted on the sled, and all powered from a single 12v Anton Bauer battery on the sleds dual battery mounts.
The film was photographed by Trevor Coop, and the FC14 operator was our very own Adam Coop.
We are very pleased to announce that Panavision UK, VMI and Movietech have all taken delivery of their first DollyCranes, adding them to their extensive grip hire fleets. All three of these rental companies were quick to see the potential of the DollyCrane, and are amongst the first UK customers!
And now Shoot Blue have taken delivery of theirs too.
Contact them directly for availability and hire rates (or you could always hire from us too!)
